New Beginnings While Revisiting Old Ones
It has been a little more than two years since I have sat down to write and publish something here, on Medium. I am a little surprised (though not entirely) as like many, I have been busy with work, family, and of course, a global pandemic which seemed to occupy most everyone’s thoughts to one extent or another, for a good while (rightfully or wrongfully so…the jury is still out). With all that said, I am writing again — today in fact, and plan on doing so weekly in addition to working on a novel and a non-fiction book (yet another!) that I hope will resonate with people the world over.
Writing for pleasure — for the sheer love of the act and the art has not been something that I have allowed much time in recent years (our time is often not our own though it is perhaps the most precious resource any of us will ever have bar none), and my goal is to change that. I am still working on understanding how to capture the most momentum and value from Medium (suggestions welcome), and hope to increase my followers (audience, readers) significantly during the remainder of 2023 and throughout 2024. My areas of interest vary in respect to topics and subject matter. And it is my hope that I will capture what drives, inspires, motivates, and gives me pause for reflection in both my fiction and non-fiction work. To that end, I hope you gain something from it and ultimately that it aids you or someone you know in your continued growth and development.
Areas of interest that you will likely see me weave into my writing include the arts, science, literature, psychology, cybersecurity, self-help and well-being, nutrition, and observations of the world around me and those in it among many others. My commitment to myself is to write and write well with conviction. My commitment to you is to not publish anything that passes for mediocre thought or contrived work. Here is to new beginnings; to self-examination, exploration, reflection, communication, and knowledge sharing in addition to lifelong learning.
